1st Wednesday Night Wanderings


Welcome to/back to Winona! Wed. aug 26th will be the first of many weekly wednesday evening local activities and adventures. All are welcome to participate and add personal skills and knowledge. Meet at 4pm outside of Memorial Hall. Those with a vehicle to drive would be appreciated. Stop by the Common Adventure board down the hall from the RTTR office for more info on weds night activities and weekend trips.

The first wandering will be a climb of John Latsch State Park's Bluffs, which offers one of the best views in the upper midwest, not to mention the trail is a classic crusher 500 feet of stairs! From there we'll explore some of the parks off trail, backcountry type terrain. in addition those who are interested in geocaching; we'll search for a couple of established caches in the park and also build one on the top of the bluff. If you've never used a GPS or if you're a pro come a long. there will be a few units to share, so if you have one bring it along. The local river bluffs usually offer up some sort of adventure, so come along. Email ebarnard@winona.edu for more info or questions.
